Mary Frances Earp, 1941


Mary Frances Earp standing in front of a new 1941 Ford. The date is legible on the license tag and is written by hand on the front of the photo. It would have been taken somewhere around Stroud (Lincoln Co.) Oklahoma.

Has anyone seen this photo before?

    I love this picture of the matriarch of the family in her dark framed glasses, long dress and stockings. The car is a 1941 Ford bought brand new by her son and our grandfather Huey Earp.

    I found this photo in our mother's old photo album. There are several others with the new car. One I love is of our mother Opal posed on the front fender in a rather alluring manner. ha.
