This is a family history blog. It is the story of the William A. Earp family, who homesteaded in Oklahoma Territory, and their descendents and those other pioneer families whose lives intertwined with theirs...Martin Van Buren Wright, George and Mary Jane Deal Earp Ewing, William Cornelius Flatt, and more.

THE EARP FAMILY BLOG
Here you'll find a family parlor for descendants and other kin of William Asbury and Mary Frances (Wright) Earp, who settled near Stroud (Lincoln Co.) Oklahoma Territory in 1892. May it be a resting place along the highway of time for all who pass this way. Come on in--the door's open. Sit down and rest a spell. Let's swap some stories and photographs from the treasure chest of time. Y'all come on in now, hear?

Introductions
William and Mary Earp had eleven children who lived to adulthood. If each had five grandkids then they had 55 grandchildren, and if that generation had three kids each then they had 155 great grandchildren--and who knows how many in the next generation. There are a lot of us.
And then there are all the people who descend from siblings of William Earp and Mary Wright. Lots of them too.

Hello. I'm Gerry, Wayne's sister. Opal Mary Earp Pounds was our mother.
This family history blog/website has been a dream of mine for a long time. After Mom's death, it seemed a "must do". I've wanted to have a means of communicating with you, my cousins and kin, to share family treasures, old photos, stories, etc. with you, hoping that you would reciprocate with some of your own. This blog seems to be a wonderful tool for doing just that.
Please join us here. Check out my profile at: http://blogger.com/profile/09224825145624701636

Both the Earp family blog and the Pounds family web page are works in progress, so check in from time to time to see what new and interesting tidbit has been added.
