The article and video ...Thanks for posting, Gerry! The article and video were really interesting to me. My folks lived in the area about 1930 while my dad taught school at the Sunny Side School (picture of it on the video). A lot of my Miller ancestors lived in the area, too: my great-grandfather, Andrew Jackson Miller, died there. We have been to the Avery Memorial Cemetery two or three times in the last few years and drove through what was once Avery. There is not much of anything left there now, hard to believe that there was so much there at one time. Very interesting article and video!Janiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09354835625760240357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-485579917144172723.post-55104483213167629322014-04-22T17:04:17.831-05:002014-04-22T17:04:17.831-05:00Hi Gary: I plan to do a new story about the Wright...Hi Gary: I plan to do a new story about the Wright family and post some pictures. The car is a 1941 Ford bought brand new by her son and our grandfather Huey Earp.

I found this photo in our mother's old photo album. There are several others with the new car. One I love is of our mother Opal posed on the front fender in a rather alluring manner. ha.Gerry P. He was born in 1892 in Lincoln County, Oklahoma Territory. An interesting fact is that he was the firt of the children to be born in Oklahoma Territory. The rest of the children were all born prior to statehood also.

I'm always amazed when I look at this photo at how well groomed and well dressed the children are. Mary Frances certainly did a good job of managing her large household. Yes, I understand that in all large families, the older children always tended to the younger children.

Another unusual thing is that eleven of the twelve children lived to adulthood. They must've inherited a healthy constitution from their parents.Gerry P. Robideauxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09224825145624701636noreply@blogger.com
