He was born in 1892 in Lincoln County, Oklahoma Territory. An interesting fact is that he was the firt of the children to be born in Oklahoma Territory. The rest of the children were all born prior to statehood also.<br /><br />I'm always amazed when I look at this photo at how well groomed and well dressed the children are. Mary Frances certainly did a good job of managing her large household. Yes, I understand that in all large families, the older children always tended to the younger children. <br /><br />Another unusual thing is that eleven of the twelve children lived to adulthood.
